Subject: DeskJet 3820
So my mom has an HP Desket 3820. It's plugged into her iMac 500 Mhz. G3 iMac. The other day it stopped working. No visible mechanical issue, software seems fine, the printer light even blinks when its receiving data, the iMac says its printed and no errors are reported-- but nothing actually prints. I even downloaded the latest HP driver, though that is not necessary, considering that the printer can print out of the box from 10.4 on (the iMac is running 10.4.11). Anyone have any clue?

have you tried connecting to it via CUPs?   that might let you see more info [including the error logs] and help with your deductions - although to be honest, i find the interface and all the config options a bit confusing, not being a unix geek.

Thanks madra. Tried your suggestion. Your link caught me by surprise. Had no idea it would take me straight to the local web interface. Unfortunately, I seem no closer to an answer than before. No errors. Only digital denial. I'll have to work more on it later.
